Influenster VoxBox Review: Something Blue (2013)

It’s been a while since I last qualified for a VoxBox, but here it is! Something Blue box was curated for brides-to-be and members of the bridal party (which I was). Unfortunately, the box arrived after the wedding day, so I didn’t get a chance to try these products in action, bur that doesn’t stop me from writing this review.

“Wedding season is upon us and we want to send our best wishes to the bride, the bridesmaids, and the guests, too! A member of Influenster Nation AND a member of the wedding? It’s meant to be and we want to show our love with the “Something Blue VoxBox.” This box is all about getting from the altar to the reception without a hitch….but we won’t give any more clues, because your VoxBox is already on its way!”

Dr. Scholl’s Ball of Foot Insoles
I actually use Dr. Scholl’s insoles in literally all of my high-heeled shoes, so this was not a new product for me personally. As we age the fatty cushions in our feet become thinner, so we quite literally slowly lose tolerance for high heels. These insoles absorb the shock from the ground and act as a secondary cushion to make sure our high heels feel bearable for a few extra hours.

Luster Premium Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste Happy Mint
This product instantly gives an illusion of whiter teeth because of it’s blue-colored formula. It’s definitely a unique feature that I have not seen in other whitening toothpastes. It will also act as a regular whitening toothpaste by slowly getting rid of the stains on your teeth for a more permanent effect with regular use.

Kiss Ever EZ Lashes Double Pack
I only use fake lashes for special occasions, because I feel like my natural ones aren’t in that bad of a shape yet. KISS falsies are actually among my favorites, although I don’t really like the glue that comes with them. So check them out if you’re looking for great quality inexpensive lashes, you can often get them free or almost free with coupons and bonus rewards at your local drugstores.

Q-tips Precision Tips Cotton Swabs
There isn’t much to say about these Q-tips, it’s such a basic thing that I find them hard to review. These are supposed to be more precise at fixing makeup smudges thanks to a pointier end. I never really had problems with regular ones, but it was fun to try something new.

UrgentRx Ache & Pain Relief to Go Powder
I haven’t tried this powder sample yet, but I love the convenient size of the package. It’s ultra thin, so you could hide it just about anywhere in your purse, or *ahem* tuck it in somewhere, if you don’t have one. Also, for this pain relief powder no water is required, which is another convenient feature.

The verdict: This was actually a great VoxBox, every single product sample was useful and something I would purchase again. Some things I already knew about, others were a great new discovery. There was also a jewelry catalog included, but I didn’t take pictures of it since it’s just a paper booklet with prices.
