How To Prep Skin for Laser Treatment with Tria Priming Cleanser

Until recently laser skin treatments were only available at beauty salons and SPAs, and then Tria changed it all by releasing an affordable [compared to the price of professionally done laser treatment] device that can be used by anyone in the comfort of their own home. However, just like any beauty treatment that promises permanent results, each session requires some preparation. In this case, a thorough cleansing of the skin is highly recommended for achieving the best results.

To make the process of finding the perfect cleanser easier, Tria came out with Age-Defying Priming Cleanser. It contains “Willow Bark Extract and moisturizing complex that ensure skin is perfectly prepped for laser treatment by gently removing any makeup, sunscreen and other impurities that can block the laser light.”

Those of you who wax regularly know that cooling the skin first makes the procedure less painful, and this cleanser works the same way. It also removes all traces of makeup and sunscreen from the surface, because they can either block or reflect the light back to the device, making the treatment less effective. What it doesn’t remove is skin’s natural oils, which is surprising, because I would have thought that the surface needed to be pristine, but I guess it’s not necessary.

I have a hunch that it’s important for laser treatment because the laser will glide better over skin, ensuring better coverage. I currently use a different type of at-home laser device for hair removal [from a brand other than Tria], and this cleanser worked really well for that, too.

Do you need this? If you own a laser device, whether it’s for anti-aging or hair removal, this cleanser might be worth looking into. Made by the pioneers of at-home laser treatments, Tria Age-Defying Priming Cleanser provides cooling effect and removes dirt, makeup, and sunscreen from the skin, without stripping it of natural moisture.

Tria Age-Defying Priming Cleanser is paraben-, sulfate-, and phtalate-free.
