If you’ve been following this blog and recall my past Memebox adventures, you know that I’m obsessed with masks, so it’s not surprising that I’m all over these special Mask Edition boxes. I think that along with the regular Memebox Global, these mask editions would be another type of box I will keep buying no matter what, because it totally fits my lifestyle. Ready to peek inside?

HOW IT WORKS
Memebox Global is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. Memebox ships internationally, so make sure to check on their website and see if they ship in your country – chances are they do. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box might not be available for sale anymore.

This mask/moisturizer comes with a spoon…

… and looks like delicious strawberry jelly!

Sua Young Berristure – Asian companies love meshing terms together like that, especially English words, so we often see things like “berristure” and “booskin” [berries+moisture and booster+skin]. It’s a marketing trick aimed to make the products seem fancier or more effective. This strawberry-scented gel looks like a jar of pink aloe vera, and Memebox recommends using it as a sleeping pack at night [like a mess-free mask you sleep with and then wash off in the morning]. It can also be used as a refreshing wash-off mask, but I had more luck with it at night personally. I didn’t find it really effective at doing anything other than calming down irritated skin, so it’s not a product I’d repurchase, but it’s still very pleasant to use and I really enjoyed the strawberry fragrance.

It’s nice to try a variety of masks from the same brand to see what works best.

SLCOSMETIC Soo Effect Plus Essence Sheet Masks: Repairing, Energizing, Waterdrop – You know what I like about Memebox? They very often include a range of masks from the same company, and that gives me the opportunity to make a better decision about the products. This trio features ampoule-type masks [ampoule = more potent than serum] with baobab tree extract [repairing], olive extract [moisturizing], and red ginseng extract [energizing] suspended in aloe vera base to make the skin supple and soft.

Crazy popular, these two are even sold at Sephora US!

When Sheet Masks: 10:00pm, TravelmateWhen brand is known for making products for specific occasions, and these two masks are pretty self-explanatory. The 10pm mask soothes the skin and replenishes moisture, while the Travelmate mask is extra moisturizing, to treat dehydrated and tired skin [for those red eye flights or long road trips]. The sheets are made with environmentally-friendly coconut biocellulose, that can hold up to 10 times more serum than a regular paper or cotton sheet mask. These masks are so popular, they’re even sold at Sephora!

Ever seen a skin treatment in a can?.
The pads are soaked in moisturizing and de-puffing solution that works wonders in the morning.

Step 1: massage the face with a rough side first to improve circulation and gently exfoliate.

Step 2: pat the remaining essence into the skin using the soft side.

Skin Factory 7 Seconds Morning Sheet 7 in 1 – Guys, it’s a mask in a can! Have you ever seen anything like it? That’s what Memebox is all about, discovering crazy new products, whether it’s unique packaging or innovative ingredients – there’s always something that’s totally new to me with each box I receive. This can contains 20 pre-soaked sheets, that should be kept in the fridge and used in the mornings. Each sheet has two sides – the rough side, and the soft side. Rub your skin with the rough side first to remove impurities and increase micro-circulation, then gently pat the skin with the soft side to help the serum absorb better.

Even the packaging looks bright and citrusy.

These “orange” rounds are soaked in Vitamin C serum, that works well to treat discoloration.

Purederm Vitamin C Facial Pads – I’ve seen the cucumber ones before, and always wanted to try them. These rounds are pre-soaked in brightening Vitamin C solution, and work like spot treatments, just in case you might not want to put a mask on your entire face. I will use them on my cheeks in areas that have discoloration and acne scars.

THE VERDICT
Is it weird that I’m already excited for Mask Box #5? I’m seriously so impressed with the wide variety of products, and now that there are so many box variations, it’s so hard to narrow down what I want to buy, because I want them all. I know, my Memebox reviews always seem kind of gushy and overly positive, but if you tried it once, you’d know that all of those positive reviews are absolutely justified. This mask box introduced me to some amazing brands and products, and my favorites are probably the When sheet masks and those pre-soaked morning pads in a can, but really, everything was great and very fun to try.

Do you like the idea of a mask-filled box? Have you tried any Memeboxes before?
