Memebox Global #11 Review, Pictures

purchased

It sure feels like I just reviewed a numbered Memebox, doesn’t it? Probably because I posted it last week, and because I also reviewed a Snail Superbox only a few days ago, so to me it looks like I have these boxes coming in daily. I sure have a feeling that I got too many beauty products too soon, so I’m feeling a bit burned out, but this feeling never stays for long 🙂 Alrighty, let’s see what we got in Memebox Global #11!

Memebox Global #11 – contents

HOW IT WORKS
Memebox Global is not a typical subscription service. They periodically curate boxes filled with assorted beauty products popular among Koreans, and those Limited Edition bundles are sold on first come first serve basis. Prices vary depending on the type of the box. Memebox ships internationally, so make sure to check on their website and see if they ship in your country – chances are they do. All themed boxes tend to sell out fast, so by the time you read this review this particular box might not be available for sale anymore.

Dear by Enprani Moistfull Booskin

Dear by Enprani Moistfull Booskin – From the same company that brought us the infamous cheese cream, this is yet another hit. It’s a booster, kind of like the one from dermalogica that I reviewed recently. You use it by either applying it directly on the skin or mixing with other beauty products for added benefits. So far I only used it alone, and wow, it sure feels good! It looks like a liquid, but it’s actually quite sticky. However, when you apply it on the skin, the stickiness disappears and it turns into a liquid again. Magic!

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City CC Cream

Too Cool For School Dinoplatz Cinema City CC Cream – I had my fingers and toes crossed for some Dinoplatz products because that’s one line I’ve been totally infatuated with. In this box we all received their CC cream, that offers skin-brightening, anti-aging and sun protection benefits. The shade I received is probably their lightest [could be the only one, actually], and it’s a really nice match for my skin. When blended out it virtually disappears. The formula is nice and creamy, and provides light coverage, which is just enough to even out the skin tone and make small imperfections and discolorations less apparent.

Hope Girl Nail Travel Bling Set

Hope Girl Nail Travel Bling Set in Sugar Mint – There were four variations of these mini trios sent out: Pink Syrup, Sugar Mint, Silver Shine, and Gold Shine. The coverage is kind of sheer, but I really liked how smoothly and evenly the formula went on. I love and will wear  all three of them, especially that milky shimmer.

Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint #3 Funky Bloom

Witch’s Pouch Radiant Lolli Tint #3 Funky Bloom – They sure love their tints in Korea! I really like the shade of this one, and it even has a pleasant grapefruit fragrance. Like any proper stain, this formula lasts on the lips all day long. I haven’t tried using it on my cheeks, but looks like it’s another popular way to apply this product.

illi Fresh Moisture Body Lotion

illi Fresh Moisture Body Lotion – I just wanted to say that this is a really nice size for a sample! My first impression was “wow, it sure smells nice and fresh”, until I realized that the reason it smells so fresh is because that lemony fragrance reminds me of dish washing liquid and wood wipes. I don’t mind those at all, but I can see some people really hating the scent. This lotion is super lightweight and easy to spread, especially if applying to the skin right after the shower. It’s not very moisturizing, on the contrary it has a slight drying effect and sets with a powdery finish. I’m guessing it’s a good choice for people with oily skin, especially in the summer.

illi Green Tea Brightening Mask

illi Green Tea Brightening Mask – This thoroughly soaked two-piece cotton mask felt absolutely divine on my skin [but looked totally creepy, haha]! I loved how well it adhered to my face, and didn’t even slide around like most gel and paper masks do. I was impressed with the formula of the solution as well, because it really did make my face look brighter and more moisturized. I wonder if they make that solution as a standalone product?

Purederm Botanical Choice Pure Solution Eye Cream

Purederm Botanical Choice Pure Solution Eye Cream – At this time I have enough eye creams to last me all year [assuming I follow the expiration dates and toss them when needed], so I decided not to open this one yet. I think it will store better if it’s sealed, and look forward to playing with it eventually.

THE VERDICT
I’m really overloaded with beauty products right now, especially eye creams, so I wasn’t as excited as I could have been about that full-sized eye cream. My favorites from this box were the nail polish trio, the skin booster and of course the lip tint. After looking at this pile of goodies I had to ask myself what exactly could I actually have more of without feeling overloaded? Seems like my conclusion was that I can never have too much nail polish, sheet masks and body lotions. My next memebox is coming in 3 weeks, so I will have a little breather here 🙂
