For this review I received the Classic box, which contained the “Leader-Follower” adventure. It came in a very discreet brown cardboard package, and upon very detailed inspection the only mention of the box contents were the teeny-tiny letters on the shipping label that simply listed The Fantasy Box as the sender.
Nosy neighbor-safe – Check!

When I first “unboxed” it I was very impressed at the quality of the box itself: it was beautiful red color, with black sides, fun white prints, and a safe magnet closure.
Presentation – Check!

The first thing you see when you open the box is the welcome card, the date instructions, and two poll booklets for Him and Her (they call them “Sensual Surveys”). As per instructions, the first part of the date is a nice romantic dinner, which gives you time to discuss your surveys, so both of you can potentially find out some new information about your partner that you might not have known previously. Things like that really improve relationships!

The second step is the adventure. You will select who becomes the Leader and who will be the Follower, then both of you take your cards and learn what you’re supposed to be doing. These are just the ideas, though, the possibilities are limitless, and you might even come up with your own “plan of action” 🙂

And finally, the products. I received one of the staples of the Leader-Follower game – the blindfold mask – and some other goodies, that follow the theme nicely.

Honestly, it looks like a normal black satin sleeping mask, except this one is labeled for romantic purposes, but who doesn’t like multi-purpose products? 🙂 It seems to be well-made and two elastic bands ensure that it sits comfortably on your head and doesn’t slip off. I definitely like the versatility of it.

Pipedream La Reve Ribbed Personal Massager in Hot Pink
Never thought I’d say that about such product, but does anybody else think that it looks almost… elegant? It’s powered by two AAA batteries, both of which were included in the box. It’s also waterproof so you can take it with you to the shower, or bath if you wanted to. It’s coated with high quality silicone which feels very silky to touch, and the ribbed end will provide extra stimulation. Oh, and it also has three speeds, which you can quickly switch between by pushing the power button. I tried it on the back of my hand briefly (*with a funny voice* – “Cuz I ain’t puttin’ anything untested anywhere near my ladyparts, aight?“), and I found it a bit too rough, but everybody likes different things, right? So my overall impression is that this is a high quality product, but the level of stimulation was just too much for my most gentle skin. However, it did make a splendid neck and foot massager, I’m dead serious!

Dona Aphrodisiac Infused Massage Candle
As the product description states, these candles are natural, eco-friendly, and free of parabens and other harsh chemicals, which makes this a product numero uno in this box for me. And it’ll play nicely with my new neck and foot massager :)) Just kidding! But really, there’s something very romantic and appealing in a hot oil massage, and I must admit, that these mysterious aphrodisiac extracts totally worked on me, because I can’t stop smelling it. It has a warm, fruity, almost “bodily” fragrance, that simply enchanted me. Now I want to get a perfume that smells like this candle, because it’s one of the best fragrances ever.

Hot Pink Warming Lubricant For Women
Warming lubricant is actually a neat way to help “speed things up”, since girls usually take longer than guys to get in the mood. I had high hopes for it, but unlike water lubricants, this one felt a lot stickier, and actually didn’t feel all that “hot” either. I personally didn’t like that, but to each their own.

Dreamgirl Bodystocking Dress
I couldn’t find this set online, and quite honestly I don’t even know what brand it is. Scratch that, The Fantasy Box provided me with a link to the product. It’s actually on the upper edge of the range for this type of lingerie, as I thought. It’s very well-made and has a surprisingly flattering fit. It’s a one piece, so it was a bit challenging to put on for the first time, but since it’s made of nylon, it’s very stretchy and doesn’t obstruct your movements at all. I assume these are not reusable, because just by putting it on and taking it off I already managed to make a couple micro-scratches. The average price for typical nylon bodystockings ranges between $10 and $30, which suggests that my theory about one-time use was correct, because I can totally see myself splurging an extra 15-20 bucks for an occasional “special” night.

The verdict: I like the concept of this subscription, and the detailed instructions provided for each adventure. I can see how it could improve and spice up love life for many bored couples out there. Would I subscribe to The Fantasy Box? Probably not, but then again my husband and I are still newlyweds. However, I’ll definitely consider it if our life ever turns into stale routine.
