Bondi The Limelight Swatches and Review

Update: At this time I no longer recommend doing business with Bondi.

Welcome to my newest nail polish obsession!

Bondi is a new Big 5-Free nail polish brand that just launched earlier in 2013. Their first collection includes twenty fashion-forward nail polish colors, featuring outstanding fast-drying formulas and gorgeous glossy finishes that don’t even require a top coat.

I’m even more excited to tell you that in August Bondi is starting their own nail polish subscription service – Nail Mail – that will deliver three gorgeous nail polish colors plus a beauty extra to your doorstep for $19.99/month. If you want to sign up to reserve your spot, fill out the form on this page. You will receive your own unique link to subscribe on July 22, and your first box will arrive in August.

I currently own three Bondi nail polishes plus a clear polish that serves as base and top coat, and I plan to show them to you throughout the week. Today I’m wearing this fun lime green color called The Limelight. When I bought it I was warned that the application is a little streaky so I would need an extra coat to make sure it’s all nice and even, and I agree, it was pretty streaky at first. In these swatches you see me wearing I’m Vers as a base coat, and three coats of The Limelight on top. No top coat, because it’s totally unnecessary – the polish looks even, and glossy.

This is not your typical lime green, it’s actually a slightly muted neon, if that makes sense. Unfortunately, I don’t have a true neon green to compare it with and to show you the difference, so you just kind of have to take my word for it.
